With reference to paragraph 6 of your
Despatch No.406 of the 28th. December, 1900, I have the
honour to transmit for your consideration the enclosed
copy of a letter from Mr. J. W. Jones, Master at
Queen's College and Acting Deputy Registrar of the
Supreme Court and of a minute by the Treasurer.

I am of opinion that Mr. Jones' pre-
sent application comes within the spirit of the regula-
tion as laid down in your Despatch referred to above
seeing that he has not had the additional two months'
leave during the past 14 years.
3.
Mr. Jones has been informed that
this matter has been referred to you for decision.
